The director of Tamil film ‘Kadhalae En Kadhalae’ that won an award in 2006 P C Shekhar with not much of news even before the completion of his first launched Kannada film ‘By2 Coffee’ has completed his second movie that is a thrilling love story ‘Nayaka’ featuring Naveen and Ragini in the lead roles.

A software guy from Bangalore P C Shekar has tried new methods and coloring of the film in the first and second half. Nine months of preparation of the film, by doing the story board, director Shekhar attempted the reverse style with dialogues, believing action speaks louder than words. He has shot in 50 days in places like Kunigal, Bangalore and Madikeri. “I tried to blend the thrill and love in this new kind of presentation for the new generation”, he says with great confidence. Meanwhile he has finished 75 percent of the task for ‘By2 Coffee’ and aims to release ‘Nayaka’ in the second week of May.

Director Shekar’s friend Ramesh Kumar (in the chemical re-packing industry) is the producer and another friend of the director, Naveen plays the lead.

Naveen has also been a part of earlier venture of director Shekar, who is also a software guy. The most sought after heroine today in Kannada cinema Ragini plays the lead role. She is Madhu in the film. “This kind of cinema is not experimented so far. It is cleanly, neatly and decently made film”, says Ragini.

‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendra, Rajendranath of ‘Ramana’ and ‘Sivaji’ Tamil films are in prominent roles. Murali Krish is the cameraman. Pravin Dath Stephen has done the music while Arjun has done the re-recording for the film in 53 days.

The trailers and songs of the film were screened on Monday evening at Garuda Mall Inox cinema.
